We have just upgraded to ECC6 one of our users ran a report and when they selected the list they mistakenly ticked always use selected format.
This was not required and I cannot find how to reset this to the default

Try program SALV_BS_ADMIN_MAINTAIN - you have to run it in sa38/se38 as there isn't a transaction assigned (at least there isn't one assigned in my system). Select the Detailed Selection option and enter the Client and user ID of the user whose export options need to be reset. In the Actions section, you can select Display or Delete, it doesn't matter. Click Execute. You'll get a list (ALV) screen showing the user's ID and the setting they selected. Select the line and click the delete line button (it should be the one furthest to the right).
