Is it possible to change the requirement date of a component?

Hello Gurus,

When a non stock material is defined as a component of service order a requirement date is automatically determinded (RESBD-BDTER) on the current date. Does someone knows if one can be able to influence this field?

It means that I would like to be able to fill it by myself.

Kind regards

Chris

Hi,

The requirement date is calculated as follows:

1. The start date (earliest scheduled start) of the operation minus

2. The goods receipt processing time of the component and minus or plus

3. The lead time offset for the component in the order

The above values (point 2 and 3) can be adjusted to manipulate the

delivery date.

It is also possible to change this date by implementing customer

exit COZF0002.

Hello

Paul, does it that the only way to be able modify this field is use a user exit? Because it seems that it is possible to modifiy this field in PS and the PR date will be popullated with this change.

Available in PS but not CS-PM?

Kind regards

Chris,

It is not possible to directly enter the requirement date on PM/CS orders, It is calculated as mentioned earlier. You can adjust the lead-time offset with + or - values to influence the date, so addding a offset of 1 day would push the date out a day later.

Hello Paul,

If you determine a number of days in the offset field are they in working days or in calendar days?

HI

when you mention the negatve for past and positve days for future it checks for work days.

Chris,

It uses factory calendar so non-working days are taken into account. That means (usually) a 5 day offset would push the date out by one full week.

Hi Paul,

As you said "

The requirement date is calculated as follows:

1. The start date (earliest scheduled start) of the operation minus

2. The goods receipt processing time of the component and minus or plus

3. The lead time offset for the component in the order

The above values (point 2 and 3) can be adjusted to manipulate the

delivery date."

I have checked for stock & non stock item, but this calculation is not working for work orders. only i can change the date with offset. i checked material master record and change the GR processing time and planned delivery time but its not working. Do you have any idea why its not working?

Thanks.
