PR qty clculation

when we go for HB, MRP, system calculate PR qty as under:

PR qty= max. stock-avl.stockopen POatyopen PRqty-reservation

but it should calculate as under:

Pr qty= (max.stock-safety stock)(ROP-avl.stock)open POaty+open PRqty-reservation

How to get calculation based on 2nd formula.

    Hi,

    SAP help says:

    The reorder point should cover the average material requirements expected during the replenishment lead time.

    The safety stock exists to cover both excess material consumption within the replenishment lead time and any additional requirements that may occur due to delivery delays. Therefore, the safety stock is included in the reorder level.

    I don't think you could change this setting (via configuration).

      pl. clarify how to calculate PR qty in SAP based on formule 2 givenabove. I.e when stock is lees than ROP, PR qty shoul take into considerstion. i.e formula for calculating PR qty should be as under:

      (max.stock-safety stock)+(ROP - aval. qty)

      How to configure for this requirement.
