Dear,

Should you have any error message for sending email, please refer to note 693306 below.

Symptom

SAP Business One Service Manager is responsible for sending e-mails and

faxes via SAP Business One.

In case an e-mail or a fax was sent via SAP Business One but has not

reached its destination/recipient, it is possible to diagnose a relevant

error message, which can then help you trace the actual cause of this

malfunction.

Other terms

SAP Business One Service Manager, e-mail, email, Fax, Unsent, Error,

Error Message, Event Viewer, Error Analysis, Application Log,

Failed to create Dispatch cover page, Error 49, Error 46, Error 36,

Error 35

Reason and Prerequisites

Help for analyzing error messages returned from SAP Business One Service

Manager (SBO Mailer) and documented under the Event Viewer.

Solution

Error messages returned by SAP Business One Service Manager can be

viewed under Start => Settings => Control Panel => Administrative Tools

=> Event Viewer => Application Log.

Double click the column title 'Source' and locate all the errors related

to 'SBOmail'.

Double click an Error row to open the Event Properties window.

The error number is displayed under the Description section.

1. Error 49 - the e-mail could not be sent through the currenct SMTP.

This usually occurs when a Local Exchange Server is defined within

the Service Manager. It is necessary to define a Relay in the

Exchange Server to the SQL Server and workstations running SAP

Business One. It is also important to verify that the e-mail address

defined for the sender in SAP Business One is valid.

2. Error 35 - this error occurs when trying to send an e-mail with an

attachment, that cannot be created or accessed via the Attachments

path as defined in SAP Business One. It is necessary to verify that

there are no folder restrictions on the Attachments folder. It is

also necessary to verify that the created attachment has a valid

name. In case the operating system does not support the specific

language used in SAP Business One, the Service Manager will not

recognize the created file. In NT 4.0 Servers, try running the SBO

Mailer under an Administrator account, instead of under a Local

service account.

3. Error 36 - this error usually occurs when a wrong SMTP address is

defined in the Service Manager. Try using an alternative SMTP

address.

4. Error 46 - this error usually occurs due to a wrong SMTP definition

in the Service Manager or the SMTP traffic is being blocked by an

existing FireWall.

5. Failed to create Dispatch cover page - this error is relevant only

when attempting to send faxes using SAP Business One Service

Manager. This error indicates that there is an existing problem with

WinFax cover pages. This problem exists in the WinFax product

itself, however it is necessary to resolve this issue in order to

send faxes via SAP Business One Service Manager. In order to resolve

this problem refer to Symantec's article found in the following web

link:

First , created new item type in items.xml as for email AccessRequestEmailProcess which will extend always StoreFrontCustomerProcess now we will give attributes which we want to send in context and we want to get from even in model.

-> we have send in controller sendEmail() with all form fields value that we will pass in service and will set in event then we will publlish that event at that time event listner will call

-> this listner spring id we will create in spring.xml then inside thin onEvent() which will set all data from event to model class and then start the process with that model object.

-> we have one emailprocess.xml file where we define name which id we define in spring.xml then we define in this process.xml all actions and end id for fail, error and finish status. start="generateAccessRequestEmail"

<action id="removeSentEmail" bean="removeSentEmail">

<transition name="OK" to="success"/>

<transition name="NOK" to="error"/>

</action>

<end id="error" state="ERROR">Something went wrong.</end>

<end id="failed" state="FAILED">Could not send Access Request email.</end>

<end id="success" state="SUCCEEDED">Sent Access Request email.</end>

-> we have custom context file which what do it will take all data from model then put in context file which bean id we create in spring.xml then we will pass context in vm file with this help

-> we have two vm file one in body and another is subject file. which we create in email folder of core then in vm we ${ctx.firstname} for print data on body

One question per form request. You need to move the Crystal question to SAP Business One Reporting & Printing

Hello Ravi,

To use email in SAP Business One the SBO Mailer Service needs to be configured. To configure the Sbo Mailer please see the document 'Administrator's Guide SQL' or 'Administrator's Guide DB2'. This document is available either in the Documentation Resource Centre or in the Documentation section of the SAP Business One CD.

[ Administrator Guide|https://Service.sap.com/~sapidb/011000358700001185612007E.zip]

You should also look at the EES 'Introduction to the SBO mailer(Including new features) in the Expert Empowerment Session archive. This EES will guide you through the required set up in order to send email via SAP Business One.

[ Introduction to the SBO Mailer EES|http://service.sap.com/~sapidb/011000358700000326642008E.zip]

To use Email in SAP Business One please see the document ' How to use Email in SAP Business One 2005 A SP 01', which is also available from the Documentation Resource Centre.

To access the Docoumentation Resource Centre please use this link:

[Documentation Resource Centre|https://service.sap.com/smb/sbo/documentation]

Finally, there is also an SAP add-on called MS Outlook Intgreation which can be used in conjunction with SAP Business One and this can also be used for your email instead of the standard SAP Business One email functionality. To find out more about the Outlook Integration please go to the [Microsoft Outlook Integration landing page.|https://service.sap.com/~sapidb/011000358700003245982006]

I hope this helps

Kind Regards,
