Shopping Cart Locking Issue

The approvers in our SRM system get an e-mail with a link to the SC Approval Screen such as:

[http://server:8000/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/bbpsc07?wi_id=28047|http://server:8000/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/bbpsc07?wi_id=28047]

Where wi_id is the work item ID of the approval step.

This all works fine, except if the user closes his or her browser instead of saving the shopping cart, the shopping cart stays locked in SM12. And if the user tries to go back into the shopping cart via the link they now get the error:

User is X already processing this document, please try again later.

If I go to the approval inbox via the portal or BBPSTART transaction and close the browser at the same point, the lock is cleaned up when the browser closes.

Is there a way to do the correct logoff via the direct link to the approval work item?

Hi,

Which SRM vesrion are you using?Depending on that,Pls implement the foll notes:

Note 751884 - Locks still remain when you exit the service

Note 888306 - Approval: Locks remain

Note 670703 - Approval: Document locked by user

Thank you for your reply. We are on SRM 714.Unfortunately all suggested notes are not suitable for our version(Cannot be implemented).
