    Hi RJ,

MDM can integrate with BI 3.5 as well as BI 7.The difference between both are that using BI 7 we can use ABAP API that can integrate with MDM sytem directly using open hub destination.

Using BI3.5 more of manual work is required.

You can follow the below link to understand MDM integration with BI 7:

    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/d06a92de-614e-2b10-4989-d913c2154a64

    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/00f0d853-936f-2b10-1880-d3deb1fbd858

Which ever master data you are trying to extract and report through BI will be replicated of the ECC ERP system so you can make use of the standard business content of masters that come along with MDM which are based on the structure in ECC ERP system and then customize the repository according to your BI req in MDM.

The Flow of master data will be:

    - BI will extract the inconsistent master data from ECC system

    - Then place this data file in the FTP enabled Inbound folder of MDM in the XML format.

    - MDM will pick this data and cleanse it in MDM

    - The cleansed data will be syndicated back to BI in the outbound FTP enabled Folder fo MDM

    - BI picks this data and reports on it

    Hope It Helped

    Thanks & Regards

    Hi Markus/Nitin/All

The scenario where we trafer Master Data from BI to MDM and back is clear to me , so we can use standard object provided . My scenario is a little different . I have some enriched fields in MDM and thoe fields I want to tranfer to MDM . or I have a central MDM scenario and I just want to tranfer the master data to BI .

One Way MDM --> BI . Are there any pre delivered content thats provided and if not whats the best possible strategy for the same.

    Thanks

      Raymond,

What scenario did you land on when you solved your problem. I currently have a similar requirement and I am finding that the consolidation of master data techniques mentioned in the links provided do not help for this particular scenario.

I, like you would like to import data records from MDM and Fed into BI.

      Any advice would be appreciated.

      Thanks.
