Real Time Monitoring of Enterprise Portal 7.0

Hi,

We are planning to rollout the Enterprise Portal for our corporate employees shortly. I would like to know what would be best practices for enabling real time monitoring of Enterprise Portal so that Netweaver System Administrators can get to know as and when any misfunctioning happens on portal.

Any help on detailed and extensive approach for the same would be highly appreciable.

Thanks, does SAP also provide any management pack or connectors which can integrate with any popular Enterprise Management Solutions (EMS) like MOM 2005, Tivoli, HP Openview.

The idea of any getting real time monitoring means is to get any error on all application server hosting EP.

Hi,

The mentioned EMS providers will have the capability of supporting SAP Applications including portals and for that also we need to implement SMD first I think.

you can Implement Solution Manager Diagnostics and Wily Introscope for monitoring portals. All implemention guides are available in SMP or SDN below is the link for implementing SMD.
