withholding tax form 1099 and fiscal year

Hi All,

I am able to print form 1099, but I have an issue with fiscal year.

The fiscal year displayed through smart form is 2004. Can any body please let me know how to change this fiscal year to current year 2008.

Each year in late November/early December SAP issues a note (or notes) with the 1099 SmartForms (for 1099MISC, 1099INT, etc) for the year along with any updates to the 1099 programs. The SmartForms for the year are not released until the end of the year because they will not actually be used until the next year - 1099s for 2008 will not be issued until the first part of 2009.

Since your form is currently displaying 2004, I would suggest finding and applying the SAP notes, in order, for 2005, 2006, and 2007 (so you get all program updates made for those years). After applying these notes, your SmartForm should display 2007. Then when the notes for 2008 are issued in a month or so, you can apply those. I don't have the note numbers handy, but if you search SAP notes, for example, for 1099 and 2007 (or whatever year), you should find the notes for that year.
