EXCHANGE RATES.

Hi

1) In my R/3 we are maintaining daily in V_Tcurr. I transferred all the exchange rates in my BW. Now i hav to calculate the average Exchange rate for month. How to do that?

2) After calculating average rate that has to be apply my Key Figures.How to do That?

Use Exchange rate type AS02 for monthly average.

You can define you currency conversion type in

RRC1 (BW 3.X)

or RSCUR in BI 7

I need to do this in the Cube level only.

I transferred all my exchange rates from R/3 to BI7.0.

Here i stuck up that how to calculate the averate rate.

Use READ_EXCHANGE_RATE function module in update rules/transformation.

For TYPE_OF_RATE use AS02.

1002 Average exchange rate.

Hi Sony,

The solution that Praveen provided is to use a function module for the currency conversion in the update rules/transformations. You change these from the AWB and not the transaction I provided above.

"Normal" currency translations in transaction RSCUR is only used for currency translation at runtime.

If you need the KF with the translated currency in your infocube you should do this as Praveen proposed.

How to use this Function module in my transformations.Is this function module will calculate the average rate.

If not how to calculate the average rate for the month.I'm getting daily exchange rates in my table.

Use the function module for date you can give the date on the basis of which you need to get the average month rate.

In Type of rate give AS02 and just execute.

Check if you get the exchange rate.

Let know if you get any exceptions.

Hi Sony,

Check out transaction RSCUR where you can create various currency translations. E.g. you can create a translation for the M cur. based on the month from the data record.

Else search the forums for threads about currency translation / conversion. It has been discussed several times.
