please help me, i want to make Industry sector as optional fileld in mm01.please provide some input.

HI,
Industry sector and the Material type are the mandatory fiels in the material master. Hence they have to be entered whenever the material is being created.

Why you want to set Industry Sector Field as Optional?????
industry sector u cant do it as optional.
its SAP standard practice.
