    Hello Antonio,

-Do you mean opening db files with respect to Report connectivity of database ? In that case, you would require to create a connection to your database.

-For creating a connection, there is a seperate Data tab in CR4E.Click on the data tab.

-Now you will see connection folder.Right click on it and select new Conection option.

-New window will open.Select your database, give all the connection details along with your database credentials and click on Test connection.

-If all the provoded details will be correct, you will get Success Message. Thus your db connection is done.

    • There's no intrinsic support for file-based data sources in Crystal Reports for Eclipse. The Java Reporting Component reports off of 100% Pure Java datasources, such as JDBC, JNDI, JavaBeans, POJO or native XML.

I haven't worked with any Java-based drivers for dBase.
