Integrate webdynpro Java/ABAP with Websphere Portal

Hi All,

I have few WDJ and WDA applications. Now I want to integrate these applications into IBM Websphere portal.

Actually I tried FPN but there are few limitations like Webdynpro's we cannt expose as wsrp content to websphere portal.

can some one tell me how to integrate these webdynpro's into websphere portal.

I have found one article in SDN but in that it is not clear about the integration

https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/a283ccd8-0701-0010-f69a-b5292f398dfc

Rgeards,

Ravi

    Hi,

As far is i know you wont be able to integrate webdynpro to Websphere portal.

    Reasons

    1) Its a proprietery Frame work from SAP.

    2) WSRP support is not available fro WD iviews.

    Hi Ravi,

AFAIK, Webdynpro iViews are exposable as WSRP content to be integrated with other portals like IBM websphere.

The article that you have attached as a link itself is about integrating webdynpros into websphere right?

SAP NetWeaver Portal can serve as a consumer of WSRP 1.0 compliant content and can serve as a producer of WSRP 1.0 content for Non-SAP portals since SAP NetWeaver 2004s, SPS06 & SAP NetWeaver 2004s, SPS09 respectively.

In cases where an iView or application retrieves its data from a data source (such as a back-end system or the Web) the type of iView determines if the client accesses the data source directly. For example: SAP application iViews, URL iViews, and Web Dynpro ABAP iViews. In case of Web Dynpro Java iViews the application retrieves its data through the producer portal.

    Hope this helps.

    Regards,

    Anagha
