Often time we need to change the Basic Start date of a production order. however, upon doing so another planned order is created.

is there a way we can prevent the explosion of another planned order?

hi,

If thinking logically then it can't be avoided..because the MRP is fully based on the calculation which haapens as per the dates provided in the system...these dates are GR del. date, planned de. date etc....

So, when you change the dates in your system, there would be few requirements which would be falling in these dates....SO, the planned order would be getting generated...

You can't avoide it...because if we change any setting then it may also provide the hapazard results in the near future....

Hope it helps..

Thank you for the confirmation, that the system will indeed generate another planned order whenever we change the basic start date and there is nothing we can do about it.
