according to saleorder create purchaseorder

Dear all:

I'm some requirement .if anyone can resolve it ,I appreciate you very much.

Detail demand as follow:

1.the itemcode in sale order is combo item that is comprises 2 components itemcode.

For example:

itemcode qty

19001 comboitem 1

19001R componentitem 1

NT-200 componentitem 1

this is a BOM ,whose product type must be production, can't be sale ,because it really take place a production .

Can I create a salseorder itemlist is 19001 meanwhile create a purchase order item list is 19001R and NT-200.?

procedure as follow

No: SO- 1

itemcoode qty

19001 1

create :NO:PO-1

itemcoode qty

19001R 1

NT-200 1

    Hi Helen,

If I understand you correctly, you are trying to complete SO and PO in the same time. Then you hope that can be linked automatically. That will not be true.

You sould be no problem to create these 2 documents but you need to go through Production Order process. When you received your PO, you have to build the combo item to sell.

    Thanks,

    Gordon

much appreciated for your prompt response & timely help.

    I explain why I do it .

because the sale order is so many lines. Normally,it is more 200 lines .according to it ,user may be manually create a PO whose line is about 500 line . the user is so displease to do it .I also think beause the BOM is created ,so the system is can create it retrieved

    from system.

    appreciate all in advance.

I understand you completely. However there is no magic can convert those production BOM item into sales process automatically. You have mentioned that they indeed need production. Then, why not create product orders to complete those process?

Have you tried ASSEMBLE BOM type which can turn components to combo items in the sales order?

      Thanks,

      Gordon

    Hi Helen Zhang

It is not possible to create a PO for a SO, which has a Item of Production Type. If the Item is of Sale BOM then the child items can be drawn into the PO while creating the SO.

    Helen,

I would like to propose the following work around which might help.

Create a Formatted Search and set it on the PO row Item Code field. The formatted search would ask the user to enter the Sales Order Number and it will display all the child items of the BOM parents on the Sales Order. The user simply needs to select the item and no need to enter manually.

The FMS Query would be something like

SELECT DISTINCT T0.Code AS 'Component Item', T0.Father AS 'Parent Item', T2.DocNum
    FROM [dbo].[ITT1] T0 INNER JOIN [dbo].[RDR1] T1 ON T1.ItemCode = T0.Father
    INNER JOIN [dbo].[ORDR] T2 ON T2.DocEntry = T1.DocEntry
    WHERE T2.DocNum = '[%0]'

I try to set bom type as assembly ,but the combo item can't be set WH item. I can't see in stock and order qty and so on in item master data .

    TO:Suda Sampath

Can you explain FMS you mention in detail?

I have tryed it but nothing happened.I have saved sql in report query according to your tips.I set it in PO row 's field whose name is itemcode.click search by saved query and clik auto refresh ,but then what I should do.

I look forward to your replay.

    Thank you .

      DO not check Auto Refresh.

Press Shift+F2 to manually trigger the FMS.

You will be prompted to enter the Sales Order number. After you enter the SO number you will see a list of child items for the Parent items on that Sales Order

    Try this one:

SELECT DISTINCT T0.Code AS 'Component Item', T0.Father AS 'Parent Item', T0.Quantity * T1.Quantity AS 'Quantity', T2.DocNum
    FROM [dbo].[ITT1] T0 INNER JOIN [dbo].[RDR1] T1 ON T1.ItemCode = T0.Father
    INNER JOIN [dbo].[ORDR] T2 ON T2.DocEntry = T1.DocEntry
    WHERE T2.DocNum = '[%0]'

    Thanks,

    Gordon

I mean that in PO certain item qty is automatically equal to the item qty copyed from sale order when I choose certain combo itemcode from query form .

I look forward to your reply.

The query will give your that result as long as you have no more than 1 for each component. Otherwise, your BOM may not be correct.

    Hi Helen Zhang,

I think u need a little work around.

Run the MRP wizard based on your sales order.

Create a purchase order from the MRP Recommendation.

    Hope this helps..

    Jaics
