Support Note 1245596 should be rewritten

Someone should re-write SAP note 1245596. The explanation of how 'OR' works is just wrong. And while the solution points the user to Nulls, the relationship between null values and the problem is never mentioned.

Also, note 1212097 points to 1196142 via hyperlink, but that link requires a password. I found the article another way but the link should probably be fixed.

Hi Ken,

I am the author of the SAP Note 1245596 and I am ready to update it, but I do not understand what exactly you are not agree with.

This SAP Note is not about how "OR" function works, it is about the potential cause of records selection incorrect results if "OR" function used for records selection.

Please point me to incorrect statement and I will be happy to update it.

Morning Ken, firstly welcome to the forum. It is greatly appereciated that experts like you have decided to join the forum.

I am not sure if I'll be correct on this however I would have posted this type of thread under General section as I have found allot of moderators floating around there and they could have looked this and responded far more quicker.

Saying that, I might be wrong though.
