ALE Port error!

Hi,

I have done an ALE configuration for R3 system and PI system for sending out the IDoc. With this configuration, I can see a record which is successfull in outbound IDocs list (t-code: WE02), when I send it thru WE19 (test tool for IDOc processing). But when I use same configport for sending using tcode: BD10 (for material), it does not show up in outbound IDocs list in WE02.

Also, if i try to generate partner profile, i get this error:

"Port: System (PI port) - Port could not b created. RFC destination PI_CL_001 not specified for system PI_CL001". Enter the RFC destination and restart the generation"

One more thing to notice here is that the RFC destination that I have created and used is "PI_CL_001_4968", but here in this error message it is just showing "PI_CL_001"!

Is there any limit on the length that I need to adhere to?

hi ,

have u created the port pointing to r/3 system.

It should start with SAPXXX..

check whether RFC destination is working or not?
