Hi,

while creating sales order how to make sold to party mandatory field.

is it thru incompletion log .

Pl suggest

It is not possible to create a Sales Order without Sold-to Party in Standard SAP.

in incompletion procedure OVA2 we have partner -customer wat is the implication of this, where incompletion can we set from here

Dear,

You can not maintain mandatory field to Sold to party because without sold to party you can not create sales order.

With Sold to party sale area and any other activity connected so that's why you can not maintain mandatory feild to sold to party.

If you are creating in standard order type (OR) or copied from this, you cannot proceed without maintaining sold to party customer code.

2. suppose say order is incomplete & we;r trying to create delivery in vl01n log message text is there

saying Order is incomplete - maintain the order -

from where this description picks up can we make our own description to get picked up

In OVA2

Set the indicator of warning. It will mark the warning indicator only for those fields that appear in order entry screens during sales order processing.

Another way to make the sold to party field mandatory is thr tansaction SHD0 transaction is VA01 there u create varient and assigh the same to yr Sales doc type in VOV8.
