All Links in ESS does not work...!!!!

Hi,

I have deployed ESS/MSS 1.0 buisness package on Ep 7.0.

if i am using FQDN in my browser i.e. http://hostname.companyname.com:portno/irj/portal than my any of the links on ESS does not open for e.g if i click on leave request or who's who the corresponding iView does not open.

but if i change URL in browser i.e if i use only http://hostname:portno/irj then all link work in portal.

it was an authorization issue...with stated above authorization object.

Hi check the system defn for SAP_WebDynpro_XSS. You would need to put the FQDN in the defn of this system as well.

other options are your hosts files / dns entry

we solved the error by maintaing the fqdn in the backend system, plz try it may b helpful

rz10->ICM_Full_Hostname->Full host name

authorization issue :-

S_SERVICE SRV_NAME value = *

Hi Jogar,

Open the file hosts in C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc

Include that line

<IP portal> <hostname> <hostname.dominio>

Example

10.10.10.10 hostname hostname.companyname.com

Hi Jigar,

Just like santosh mentioned, you will have to maintain the ip address of your url in your host file. Also, please check the connector properties of your system alias in system administration and add the ip address of the ecc application server in your host file. Check the property application server or host name in connectors.

Check the host entry in your PC.Also the properties in system object if you have mentioned FQDN in connector option.
