Reorder point in MRP

Hi,

I have plant ACE1 and storage locations as Main store, Sub store1 , Sub store 2.

My question is In MRP1 view if i am maintaining Reorder point as 1000. Then it will be for all 3 storage locations assigned to plant?

I know that In MRP4 view when ever i am maintaining store reorder point , that will be only respective of Storage location..

But my question is In Material master, what is the difference between Reorder point maintained at plant level in MRP1 view and Reorder point maintained at storage location level in MRP4 view.

    Hi

If U have maintained Reorder point for material at plant level it is valid for all storage locations in that plant

in MRP4 view u can maintain it for storage location specific....while running MRP system will consider only that storage location to calculate req.

    Vishal...

      Dear,

Requirementsu2019 planning is basically executed at plant level; in other words the entire stock that exists in the plant is considered in planning. However the stocks of individual storage locations can be excluded from MRP, or can planned independently. These stocks are then not included in MRP at plant level. You can also execute MRP for individual areas.

PLANNING LEVEL FOR MATERIALS PLANNING IS EITHER u2013 the plant OR individual MRP areas.

There are 3 types of MRP areas

1.Plant MRP area. If no more MRP areas defined, the plant MRP area covers all.

2.Storage location MRP areas that defined by storage locations assigned.

3.Subcontractor MRP areas that provide planning of the requirement of the material provided for a subcontractor, and are defined by the assignment of this subcontractor.

      Pre-requisite:

Corresponding plant must be activated for MRP u2013 Customizing u2013 Material Management u2013 Consumption based planning u2013 Planning u2013 Activate Material Requirements Planning.

The plant parameter for corresponding plant must be activated u2013 Customizing u2013 Material Management u2013 Consumption based planning u2013 Plant parameters u2013 Carry out overall maintenance of plant parameters.

In material master record, you have to maintain the MRP data of the materials that are subject to automatic planning.

Automatically planned materials are not assigned the material type ND (Not planned).

Reorder point planning u2013 In reorder point planning, checks whether available stock (total from plant stock and fixed receipt) falls short of reorder point defined in material master record. If it falls, procurement must trigger. The reorder point should include the expected average materials requirements during the replenishment lead time.

    Hi,

If the stock falls below the ROP at the S.Location level, it will trigger an entry at the Planning file if in MMR the S.Location MRP is kept active.

If the Stock at the plant level is falling below the ROP, then it will have an entry at the planning file with MRP run and trigger an PR or Planned order as the case may be

    Regards

    Merwyn
