SubReport Parmeter being prompted for DB authentication

Hello folks,

In desperation I am seeking to the forum. There are many posts in the Internet on solving this issue and it does not work for me and I am not sure what I am doing incorrectly.

The Issue is: While running the report using info view it is prompting for DB authentication for sub report param value.

I have a prompt in my main report and the parameter value I pass to the sub report Command. In the sub report within the Command I have created a Parameter which I use in my sub report Where clause. This sub report parameter, I have linked it to the main report prompt parameter. The report works fine and I get the data, but whenever I run it from Infoview it is prompting for DB authentication. In my CMC for the report properties for the DB section ,I have chosen "Use same database logon as when report is run" and saved the DB name and Password.

My Environment: CR Designer-2013

Report Server: CR 2011

Business Object Enterprise 11

Go to the Database Configuration for the report in the CMC. Verify that you don't have more than one db connection - if you do (which sometimes happens with subreports...), make sure that you have both of them sent to the same thing, including "Use same database..." setting.

Is the parameter a dynamic parameter that pulls data from the database? If so, there's some additional configuration that you'll need to do. Let me know and I'll explain that if I need to.

Thanks very much for your reply.

There is only Data source and both reports refer the same database.CMC DB configuration screenshot attached dbconnxn.png.

Use same database logon as when report is run- This is the option chosen in CMC.

The parameter created in the Main report is a dynamic parameter based on a CMD object which retrieves an ID & description from the DB and the sole purpose of the report is to provide the user with a Prompt based on this dynamic parameter .Once the User Picks the ID from the prompt it is passed through to the sub report CMD and used in the where clause. This Parameter from the main object is linked to the parameter created in the CMD of the sub report by using edit sub report link.

    Thanks
