SAP Slipstream not working

Former Member

We are working on exploring the possibility of using SAP Slipstreams for transaction like VA03 in our system which is having the latest S/4 1709 version and Persona 3.0 versions.

All the steps are followed based on the information provided in the below SAP link. But we are not getting the VA03 output in the Engine. On checking the browser logs we found that the system is not able to access service /sap/bc/se/rg/. But the service is properly active in the system.

https://help.sap.com/viewer/89f7648246d148f1882a6011a43bc228/3.0.6/en-US/4c20965f09ec4bb48b831899f6b...

Is there some additional step missing which needs to be done for Slipstream.

PS: It is working perfectly fine on the Slipstream browser version

Hi Tamas,

do you have any update to that? I still have the same issue.

The best is to open a customer support incident, since your situation may be different than others.

I'm confused about your statement "PS: It is working perfectly fine on the Slipstream browser version"

The Slipstream Engine is available via a web browser... so then what exactly is not working?

Did you try to access the URL ending in /sap/bc/se/m ?

Hi Tamas

Thanks for the response.

The Slipstream link /sap/bc/se/m works perfectly fine. I am facing issue when trying to configure a Slipstream as a SAP Fiori Like application in the Fiori Launchpad. The link mentioned above has an example of calling tcode ME23N using Slipstream, this part is not working for us. The issue is pointing to service /sap/bc/se/rg not being getting called correctly.

Ah, I see.

We need to look into how the launchpad is trying to start the Slipstream Engine as the app. What errors do you get in the browser console?

Hi Tamas

The console is showing the below error message. It is pointing to the rg service and giving HTTP 400 error. The same service seems to be not working from SICF as well.

Hi Nitin,

You can follow the SAP Screen Personas configuration guide to enable the Slipstream engine.

You can also check for possible error messages in dev_icm (via SMICM or ST11). I mean, error related to access to files from the Slipstream engine.

Kind regards,

Cris

Hi Cristiano

Thanks for your response and sharing the configuration guide.

We have already followed all the required steps for persona configuration. The configuration guide mentions about service /sap/bc/se/rg to be activated. The service shows as active, but when we try to test the service, the web page gives HTTP ERROR 400.

Is there something else that need to be done to make the service work?

Also, the SMICM or ST11 does not seem to have any specific information of the error being faced.

Hi Nitin,

Can you check what Tamas mentioned in his answer?

Please use the "/sap/bc/se/m" service and see what happens.

Thanks,

Cris
