CUA upgrade from WAS 6.20 to NW 7

Hello Experts,

I have a requirement where we need to upgrade a system from WAS 6.20 to NW 7. The system is only being used for security purpose, i.e. only CUA is configured in that system for other systems - R/3, BI, SRM. I want to know what are the different we need to carry out after upgrade which are very specific to the security or CUA.

TIA.

One thing you will have to consider when your CUA is on a higher release than the child systems (which is advisable) is that when creating users the CUA will most likely need to generate backward compatible initial passwords; however once all systems are on a high enough release, you can disable this compatability and use only the new mechanism (code version F).

    Cheers,

Hey Thanks Julius for your responce.

However, are there any other consideration we have to make? I am more concerned about activity to be carried out on the roles defined after upgrade.

      Thanks.
