ROS custom Workflow

Hi Experts,

Ivy Li

My customer has a requirement that they need to use ROS Workflows for Approve/Reject Supplier. We dont have any SLC functionalities, no preselection .. nothing. We just have ROS Webdynpro Page for supplier needs to fill in the form and submit for approval, Work Item flows back to SRM portal for approvers to approve or reject along with the attachments attached during registration.

Please Note that there is NO PI involved here. This is a complete custom solution.

Kindly provide me an technical idea that where & how I need to trigger a workflow.

Also Please give me an idea that how to use workflow class (IF_WORKFLOW interface implemented).

Hi Rani,

For your question, I could only provide the following hints:

As mentioned in KBA 2243694 - Known Restrictions for SRM-ROS, it has no workflow triggered for ROS registration, but it is integrated into workflow.

You may check FM BBP_SUS_BUPA_RELEASE which will trigger notification instead of workflow in standard, and if you want to do enhancement, you may consider here for a starting point.

I will also adjust the tags so that more experts would be involved in this case.

Hi Ivy,

Thanks for your time. I have started the workflow by using the abap events in the workflow class. It is working fine now. But can u guide me how the attachments (attached during registration of supplier ) will pass to the user decision work item, approver can able to view those attachments before making he decision (approve or reject).
