SAPOSCOL config in Database server_ECC6

Hi,

We have moved to distributed system for production.

On application server I started SAPOSCOL and it is working fine. In ST06 ->Detail Analysis Menu ->Withinservers, it showing only apps server how to make DB server details also to be available there. Some one told me I need to configure SAPOSCOL for DB server also . . . .Any one have idea how to configure SAPOSCOL in DB server.

Our setup:

ECC6; Oracle 10g; SUN Solaris 10

Hi

saposcol runs with respect to servers.

you may have n number of instances in one server, but still you need only one saposcol.

But If SAP is installed on multiple(say 5) server, doesnt matter if the environemnt is distributedot not.

You need as many SAPOSCOL, as much servers you have (say 5).

Hi,

For analyzing hardware utilization of the standalone DB server, its recommended to implement the SAPOSCOL on theserver.

See SAP Notes 371023 and 19227 to implement the SAPOSCOL. Check SAP Notes 548699, 144595 and 688131for further information.
