HI

While doing make-to-stock production the raw material purchasing from vendor is updated in both unrestricted use and reserved use. after finishing production the unrestricted stock is removed but the reserved stock is not removed.

How to solve this.

Hi,

For raw material after creation of production order dependent requirement will be converted as reservation.

After reciving the raw material in plant we do goods reciept. But after issue or withdrawl of raw material to production order we need to do goods issue with 261 movement type by manually (MB1A) or automatically with backflush through confirmation.

After goods issue movement reservation will be consumed.

Hi Mani,

Check in Order.

Go to Material screen and check whether Final Issue Indicator is set or not.

If it is not set that means still Goods issue is still not over.So Complete the goods issue or Tick that Final Issue indicator or make the order TECO then check the reserved stock in MMBE.

Hi,

Revoke TECO status for all completed production orders this will delete all reservations against the orders. Alternatively you can follow a procedure of checking the checkbox during your final confirmation of the production order.

Hi,

Reservation creattion against prod order. So this raw material to be issued to prod order. After doing GI by MB1A 261 mvt, reservation will remove from system.

after doing that also the reservation stock is not removed. as i told early while doing migo 101 the raw material is stored in both unrestricted and reserved stock.

HI,

At the time of goods reciept (101) for raw material stock can go under unrestricted or block or quality. But reservation will be created only after production order is created for FG.

Dear,

Reserved stock which is showing in Stock overview or any other stock reports is not the physical stocks. These stocks are created with respect to reservation.

You can't transfer the stock from reserved stock to Unrestricted stock. These reserved stock is just the information availble in Stock overview for the User that this much stock is pending for transfer with respect to reservation. So when you post the stock with respect to reservation then this reserved stock will automatically decreased with that posted stock for the material. You can't transfer that to unrestricted.MB1C will help you in this case with 261 movement.

if set TECO status for your first production order, system will release the reserved stock, it comes to unrestricted stock.

If it is not take place then to run the correction program Go to SE38 give RM06C020 and execute.

Hi Mani,

There is no relation between Goods Receipt with 101 movement type and Reservation.

As per std. SAP whenever Production Order / Process Order is created system will auto create one reservation.which reserves the material for that perticuler Order.This Reservation will remove automatically only.It might be either on Goods Issue or in the case of Status of order changes to TECO.
