problem in kernel upgrade

Hi,

I am facing the problem in kernel upgrade. I have done it but it is not showing in the system.

The steps i have done.

Add the files to Download Basket. The following 2 SAR files should be

downloaded:

Database Independent --- SAPEXE_10****SAR

Database dependent file is -Executable File --- SAPEXEDB_1***.SAR

Keep both files in separate folder eg. Db and Exe and also copy SAPCAR.EXE

file in these folders.

Now Uncar the downloaded SAR files:

Run Command Prompt

C:\path where DB and EXE sar file download folder reside> sapcar u2013xvf

<filename.SAR>

u2022 Then take a Copy of existing RUN folder. G:\usr\sap\PRD\SYS\exe\run

u2022 Close R/3.

u2022 Close the SAP Services and make it Disabled.

My Computer > Right Click> Manage > Services & Applications > Services >

SAPOSCOL and

SAPPRD_00

Select service>right click>properties>change status type to Disabled

because it starts automatically as name is there in CAR file.

Now Copy the above uncar files of DB and EXE in RUN folder.

And change properties of services and start it again.

Start SAP R/3 now.

Logon and check system>status>click on arrow>check kernel patch level

It is changed from 109 to 139

I more thing i wnat to know that my server is 32 bit or 64 bit.

Regards,
