SD Certification via TechEd'08

A friend of mine has applied for SD Certification for Associate level via TechEd'08.

Surprisingly, he has received a confirmation from SAP Bangalore that "The requested certification is not in the offering at TechED'08". The course code is C_TSCM62_60

Anybody can confirm that via TechEd'08 one cannot appear for Associate Certification for SD ?? If one can appear, who else should he approach ??

I know that we can appear for direct certification but the question is why in TechEd'08, they dont conduct ??

Hi

Yes, it is true. There is no SD certification at Associate level for this Teched. Only Professional level certification in SD module is available during this Teched'08. You can check the list of available certifications in the SAP Teched website/link. Please google it and you can find the list.

Hi Kaushal,

Actually in Tech ed, usually they would be offering certifications only for technical expertise areas like ABAP, Business intelligence, Master data management and XI and modules which are on the technical expertise.

Hence your friend can appear for SD certification in the normal direct certification exams conducted by SAP at the Siemens centres or pro-metric centers.

Thatu2019s why even I had taken my certification in direct and not through Tech Ed!
