create customer for first sales area

I have setup a new sales area, but when I am trying to create first customer for that sales area ,system is showing message that "sales area 1000 10 10 is not defined for customers".

where

1000 = company

1000 = sales organization

10 = distribution channel

10 = division

do i need assing sales area to account group ? or

what do i have to do so i can create the customer for this sales area.

Dear Shadab,

Please check:

SPRO --> Sales and distribution --> Master Data

-->Common Disrtibution channel (T. Code: VOR1)

--> Define common division (T. Code: VOR2)

Common Distribution channel and Common division helps in sharing maste data effectively. This can be used as a reference dist.chnl and div. for other dist.chnl and divs. Then the master data can be effectivel shared.

NOTE: I hope, that You have already created the Sales Area and assigned it to the Company Code in SPRO.

Hi,

Check your settings in the master data

SD--master data and check the data in the common distribution channel and common division whether enteris are there for sales org and distribution channel

ie 1000 10 10 and for division 1000 10 10

Hi,

You first create the Customer Master with Sales Area 1000-10-10 (in XD01 & then check the same.
