Toggling between table and chart view while using List Report floorplan for developing a smart app

Hey Experts,

While using the List Report floorplan for developing a smart app how does one provide the toggle button in the right corner of the toolbar to switch between the table and chart views? (Highlighted in red, in the below image)

I found a way in the help documentation - "Multiple Views on List Report Tables", which can be done in two ways, "Multiple Table Mode" and "Single Table Mode".
The "Multiple Table Mode" provides a way to add a chart via local annotations and that is not really acceptable as all we want is to switch the view for better analysis of data. In the Fiori guidelines document, the list report appears with such a button in the corner (I'm assuming that it is a segmented button).
The "Single Table Mode" provides a button as required, but it is not to the right corner of the toolbar and also it is not possible to place a chart in place of a table via local annotations. Hence, not a viable solution I suppose.

So I'm pretty much stuck as of now!

Has anyone achieved this functionality? Please guide if so.

Also, how does one refer to a different Entity Type for populating the chart when generating it via local annotations? As in, while generate from the template we have the option to provide an entity type each for the 3 screens (max) available via list report template. How does one refer to a entity type different from the one for the particular screen for binding. In my case,to bind data to the chart control.
