Hi All,

Please help me in mapping given below scenario, my client has a checklist ( equipment wise) for which they have schedule like 10 days,15 days etc. and checkpoint may be different in different schedule.

Now they want system alert for this schedule, but they want to capture reading as normal or abnormal only, thus trigger of notification and updating notification is not useful.

Secondly on negative value i.e. "abnormal" system should trigger a maintenance order for repair. Kindly let me know how to map this scenario.

Thanks & Regards

I think there are multiple option how to utilize a checklist in SAP PM. Generally one of these three strategies is used:

  • PM Notification with codes (based on catalog profiles, groups and codes)
  • Measurement Points attached to a Functional Location or Equipment
  • Inspection Lots (integrated into SAP Quality Management module)

Thanks

Hi Maria,

By check point, I mean to say that activities which they have in checklist. If I create task list then , will I be able to select Normal/Abnormal from drop down. For task list we need to confirm operations where we give time details and remarks

Users want only Normal/abnormal option to be selected from drop down but system should give alert about updating checklist as per schedule.

Hi Vivek ,

In case you want to capture a qualitative kind of response against operations then you can use below options :

1. Use code groups as"Normal" , "Abnormal" in the confirmation screen IW41. Use custom code to create notification/order once the abnormal is selected.

OR

2. Create measurement point against FL,EQUIP and then create a measurement document with valuation code as "Normal" or "Abnormal". Here you can use custom code to create notification in case the value abnormal is selected. check customer exit IMRC0001

Hi Vivek,

Thanks for the info.

Standard Solution

You can use Inspection Lots, wheer you need to Maintain the Check List activities.

Custom Solution - I am not sure whether below will satify your requirement.

In one of our project, we have done a custom enhancements for HSE Check List in Maintenance Order.

1. Create a Custom Transaction to Maintain Check List Master. If you want this to be based on Maintenance Packages, your Check List master should be specific to Packages.

2. Create a Custom Transaction to Link your Equipment and Check List Master.

3. Enhance your Order to select the Check List based on the Equipment and Maintenance Package Combination, so user can fill the Check List and save it.

4. Use controls like to close the Check List before Order is TECO or CNF etc.

5. The Check List data which is maintained, can be utilized for KPI's.

The more your Check List Combinations the more it will complicate your solution.

Hi Varun,

For Check List, you can think about Task List and Maintenance Strategy (10 days, 15 days etc). Check List can be entered has operation in Task List and assign packages (10 days, 15 days etc) for the respective operations.

What do you mean by Check Points ?

If you have maintained the Upper Limit and Lower in the measurement point, then when you enter the document if it is beyond the limit, system can generate a Notification or Order. This is kind of enhancement. Refer below link and talk to your abaper
