Hi Experts,
Can anyone please tell me when should a client use SAP MM vs. SAP SRM? advantages vs. disadvantages of each.
Thanks in advance.

A determining factor could be training. SRM is easier to use than MM.
We have many remote locations where training isn't always feasible. Before we implemented SRM our remote users used paper requisitions to get basic goods for their offices rather than MM purchase requisitions. Now with SAP they create their own shopping carts and can even do goods receipt for them.
We also have our professional buyers and warehouse staff who do the true purchasing and they use the MM transactions. Those purchases are received by professional receivers who also use the MM transactions.
Hope that helps somewhat,
Corinne
