Number range assignment in batch mgmt

Dear Friends,

Does any where we will define number ranges for batch management. Because i am getting error during creation of the stock. Every time when i creates the stock i got the message that the batch number 0000000370 is not defined in the range.

Please help.

Hi,

Use transaction code OMAD, to assign the internal number ranges for batches.

If you dont want to assign the internal number range, then in transaction code OMCZ you can select option Automatic batch number assignment inactive.

Dear Sir,

In T-Code OMAD which object i should select for movement type 561. We have done batch mgmt for sales and distribution.Weather batch mgmt also required for inventory mgmt for goods recieved?
