Hi TDMS Expert

I need your help in configuring the TDMS for refreshing Non-Production system with Production Data

We have build our TDMS Landscape (Sender system, Receiver System and TDMS Control System (Currenlty we are using Solution manager as TDMS Control system)

Now we want to configure the TDMS Landscape to perform the refresh but not finding any document which explain all the Configuration step

We are looking for configuration docuemnt for TDMS.Can someone from you help us on this so that we can configure the system for system refresh?

Your help on this will be greatly appreciated

We are in process of implementation of TDMS. On seperate machine we have installed TDMS 3.0 software and ECC6 and QA,DEV machine.

1. Kindly share step by step TDMS configuration document .

2. Is TDMS tool can be used for SRM , BW and APO application

3. How to configure Z objects

4. How to compute ROI on this

Hi Kulkarni,

Before starting the TDMS implementation, please make sure the following:

1.Implemented the notes mentioned in note 1003051

2. Created Communication type users in all the three systems

3. Followed the setting as per note 890797

4. Maintained roles and profiles for users 889988.

5. Go to transaction CNV_MBT_OVW and create, Project -> Subproject -> Package (depending on the scenario you need).

More details can be seen from the solution operation guide for which the link is mentioned in the thread

TDMS is available for BI, CRM and HCM.

Please confirm what do refer to configuration of Z objects.

Hi Deelip,

To create a refresh, first identify the mother package for which you need to create a refresh copy. Once you identify the package, in transaction CNV_MBT_TDMS, select this package and deactivate it by using the menu option Package -> Deactivate. (TDMS allows only one active package in a subproject. Hence all existing packages of a subproject should be inactive before creating a new package).

Now, once the package is deactivated, select the mother package again and click on Copy. you get a popup with two radio buttons where you select 'Copy for refresh'. This will create a refresh package with the same settings as that of the mother package. Continue executing the activities in the TDMS tree now to continue with the data transfer for the refresh.

Hi,

I could not find much documentation either. Based on my experience:

1- Create a CPIC user in the sender and receiver systems and give them SAP_TDMS_User role.

2- In the central system run CNV_MBT_TDMS transaction. If you click on the information button (or F7) you can see some help files.

3- Create a project, sub project and a package. Then read the documentation for each step in the package.

Having said this, it hasn't been an easy journey for us so far :-(.
