Hi,

1.Price simulation comes in to picture in case of source determination to purchase requision or creating a PO via T code ME25.In case there exists more than one source for a material the system will dispaly these and provide a option for displaying the price of each source by simulation out of which you can choose the source with right source.

2.As I understand ,Release Status is attribute of Condition table which implies if the table is locked or not so as to make it usable.Like Validity period this is a attribute of locking or releasing the table.
