BO4 - Export of reports to lcmbiar looks like would export wholes series of groups/users

Hi,

Currently using bo4 and looking to export some reports to another system using lcmbiar.

Can select the reports fine export-reports.jpg and can understand how selects the folder the reports belong to but not clear as to why lots of users and user groups are showing as would be exported as not selected them.

Any ideas why?

Only want to export the reports to another system - how can we do this without users and groups being selected?

Thanks

You need to be sure to not include security when you migrate the reports. When you include security, it will automatically include user groups and users.

Thanks for update.

How can we ensure we don't include security - haven't deliberately included it?

Noticed there is a security settings option later when select the promote option. It looks like do not promote security is checked by default and when select import at destination side it doesn't import the security.

Did you select manage dependencies also during export>

Thanks for reply.

No - after selected objesct to export but before export noticce the manage dependencies box.

Do we have to unselect all these and is that safe to do - need to ensure only export would be affected as a production environment?

Why would reports have dependecies on users/groups - could understand universe dependencies though interestingly these are unchecked.
