spares means mainly the Spare parts you are going to use for the machinery & other applications

and consumable goods are the one you are directly going to consume ,

sorry its not consumable its capital goods,

when machine brakes down then only we will procure spares, so how can we know that which part is not working to create a master record,...

    HI,

For spares the material type is ERSA (STD) and for consumables its HIBE(std)

For spares you can involve all the spare parts which are required for the assembly or the manufacturing of the material.

For example a toner, cartridge of specific size, mode can be defined as a spare part in the assembly of the Xerox machine.

For consumables u can involve small jigs and fixtures which are consumed on aregular basis in the production of any assembly or a semi finished product.

Even oil or gas can be treated as a consumable.

    Hope this helps,

    hi,

Use material type ERSA...Spare parts are used to replace defective parts. They may be kept in stock. A material master record of this material type can contain purchasing data, but not sales data.

    Hope it helps..

    ERSA (spare parts)

Spare parts are used to replace defective parts. They may be kept in stock. A material master record of this material type can contain purchasing data, but not sales data.

    HIBE (operating supplies)

Operating supplies are procured externally and required for the manufacture of other products. A material master record of this material type can contain purchasing data, but not sales data.
