Hi All,

I have created a BEx variable on a Nav Attribute of an Info Object which is in an InfoSet.

While testing I have run few Master Data Loads.

Later I have deleted Master Data with SID's and reloaded the Master Data after confirmation with final data.

But when I am running the BEx query, in the Variable Selection screen I am still getting old test Master Data values for this variable.

Variable is Processed by user input and it is in Characteristic Restrictions area.

Please suggest how to clear these old master data entries from Variable.

Hi,

there is no button/option to clear those values from the frontend variable screens. This is something to be done from backend side for the respective InfoObject. This process then checks for the usage of the master data in different objects. If the master data is not used in any InfoProviders, the system can remove the unused entries. See this SAP Community Wiki entry for an example:

Some shortcuts and helpful reports, see for details SAP note: 1370848 - New Master Data Deletion - Information

  • Transaction: RSDMD
  • Report: RSDMDD_DELETE_BATCH

Cheers,

Nora

Hi if you want to clear MD you will need to delete all transactional data in DSO/Cubes

<having SID's> conaining those infoobjects because master data will not be deleted if contained in such a provider. So even if the DSO/Cube is not in the infoset, you will have to delete the data/indexes.

hi Koen,

Thanks for reply.

There is no transaction data loaded yet.

Only working with MD.

Infoset is build with only info Objects(no other Info Provider).

Delete master data once again and check S table of your MD, you are sure infoobject is not used in any of your dataflows -> you can check the where used of the infoobject
