User is trying to use FBRA to reset a cleared document. She gets a message that says "Balance of the line items is not zero". When I look at the document, the document number and the clearing document number are the same. Debits and credits are equal. How can the doc # and clearing doc # be the same? (the document # begins with 16.) If the debits and credits are equal, what does that message mean?
Thank you.
Hi Greg,
The document which you are trying to clear is linked with some other Cleared document.
First reset the other cleared document.
This other cleared document number is displayed by the system either in the log, or at the same place where you are getting the error ``Balance of the line items is not zero".
Try to reset that cleared document. Then all subsequent Cleared Docs can be reset.

Similiar situation here.
In my case, during a single clearing posting (FB1D, which must have been called from another transaction), a number of credits were cleared against a debit, in addition to creation of an open credit on account.
Of course the balance of the line items is zero for all the items cleared by the clearing document.
The open credit is NOT cleared.
So it's not CLEAR to me why the clearing document cannot be reset and reversed.
document which you are trying to reset just check from FB03.
and reset if any other clearing has been done with your clearing document.
