Hi Gurus
We are in SRM 5.5 classic scenario.
We have installed Java 6 in our system and we are trying to add the attachment to our SC and we received the error message as "The Content server is reporting error. Contact your system administrator.
Please suggest how to correct this.
Thanks & Regards
Sada

Hello,
Please maintain following customizing:
Tx.SPRO -> IMG -> SRM -> SRM Server -> Cross-application Basic settings
-> Define settings for Attachments -> set flags for these two options:
[X] Deactivate Java Applet
[X] Deactivate Attachment Versioning
Please check the settings in the transaction SICF for the docserver
configuration, and SMICM ->GO TO services if the services are running
and SSO2 transaction and check if everything is green here.
If you disable Java applet by marking it with 'X' in customizing
at "Define settings for Attachments", you will have the old attachment
upload/download functionality without using Java applet. In the old
functionality we don't have attachment versioning concept and some other
uploading features are also not available in old functionality.
For example, in old functionality there were problems with file names
having some special characters, secondly problems in uploading large
files which are more than 25 MB. All these issues are fixed in Java
applet. So we strongly recommended to use attachment functionality with
Java applet.
Kind regards,
Gaurav

He can ping and check whether both connections are available or not
