search via name in pa30/pa20 - local letters

Hello

We have in our system polish name with Polish letters, for example:

Małgorzata Borówka

Users without keyboard with Polish letters have problems to search for this people.

Maybe you know if there is any function available in SAP system, so the name can be found via normal letters:

Malgorzata Borowka

Yes using * in place of special character does works even for us.

So thats the best work around.

Hi Marzena,

I don't know of any function available in SAP. But maybe you could just have users search for names differently when a special character is in the name. For instance, instead of :

Małgorzata Borówka

You could have them search for:

Magorzata Borwka

Basically replace special characters with *. This works for us.
