Dear experts,
within the system we created many productions versions due to business reasons.
These versions were valid only for a limited time and will never be used again.
Now we think about solutions to grant overview for the products which have so many versions. One idea was to archive the old production versions.
But with this there are some open questions which must be clarified upfront:
1. Archiving will only have effect on productions version archiving. Means, no data written into FI/CO will be archived when archiving production versions. Is this assumption correct?
2. What will be archived? Will I still see the list of production versions in C223 but will not be able to "jump" into details of archived prod.vers.? Plan is to also get rid of the list of prod.vers. in C223, not only the details behind a prod.vers.
Can I arrange this with prod.vers. archiving?
Many thanks in advance.
Best regards
Patrick
Hi Patrick,
Please note the following points:
1. Is already any production/process order created for these PVs? If not, archiving should not have any impact on the financial data. Otherwise before performing the archiving process, kindly consult with your FICO counterpart for the open orders.
2. For achieving of production version you need to archive the associated task lists (CA98) and remove the associated BOMs (CS02).
Thanks and regards,
