Regarding Material Master

Dear All,

When I am trying to create a material with Material type HAWA it says that internal number range not possible also when I am trying to give the number it says that external number range not possible please advice what needs to be done.

Hi

In T code OMS2 choose your material type HAWA and in the general control tab there is check box external assignment no w/o check and tick that

In std settings for HAWA it will be ticked

Now when you create a new material you can give external no but one character should be alpha(letters)

First check whether No. ranges are available for the Materials

GotoIMGMaterials management- Inventory Management and Physical InventoryNumber Assignment-- Define Number Assignment for Material and Phys. Inv. Docs.

More over Check in MMNR t-code.

If you need No. ranges for Material types please go to the path.

IMG- Logistics General-Material Mater--Basic Settings-Material Types----Define Number Ranges for Each Material

Type.

Also check with oms2 t-code.

Go to MMNR and check whther the material type has any number range group assigned to it or not?
