Error during calculation of work in process (WIP)

Hi all,

I have a problem during calculation of WIP. After entering all data, system reports me that WIP calculation could not be done because of following error:

Create a cost element for the usage of inventory (line ID COP)

Message no. KJ307

Diagnosis

In results analysis, capitalized costs are created and apportioned to the line IDs. If the Split creation/usage indicator is set in the extended control of the results analysis version, then the usage of the capitalized costs is written under a separate results analysis cost element for each line ID.

Procedure

Go into Customizing for Product Cost Controlling and carry out the following steps:

1. Create a cost element for the capitalized costs used for line ID COP.

2. Enter this cost element under Define Update for Results Analysis.

I can't find transaction or path for solution from the procedure. Pls help.

Find Assingment of Cost Element under Information Systems

--> Define Update

I found solution in this menu path.

SPRO --> Controlling --> Product Cost Controlling --> Cost Object Controlling --> Product Cost by Order --> Period-End Closing --> Work in Process --> Define Update

I've entered same cost element for creation and update (for both wip and reservers) and seams that everything is working.
