How sap work processes will be affected due to network outage of few seconds (2 to 5 seconds) ?

How the other connected systems like BI & PI are affected.

Hello Nagaraju,

Different things could happen, depending on what exactly happened at the network level.

• It might be that nothing happens, besides a short delay / "hanging" situation.
• It might be that all communication is broken and errors are returned to jobs, RFCs (SM58, SMQ1) or end users.
• The end users themselves might get disconnected too.
• Work processes could lose the connection to the database.

With the above I am addressing not only the work processes, but other components too (like the Dispatcher and Gateway).
