Hi Retail Guru's,

Need your help to find the reason, why articles in the merchandise category are not listing automatically, when I add a new merchandise category to an assortment in WSOA2 and then changing the listing procedure to listing based on Merch Category.

Regards,

Sridhar Madiraju.

Hi Sridhar,

I assume you thought you have changed the listing procedure within WSOA2? Am I right?

Let's clarify first the role of the listing procedure.

This is made to overrule the chosen selection when performing the listing. So eg. you list thousands of articles in WSM3 by adding a range on the selection screen. And by entering a specific listing procedure you can actually further control (narrow down) this entered selection which is going to be listed to the assortment. In a nutshell.

So, by adding merchandise category in WSOA2, does not mean, that all articles belonging to the merchandise category will be listed to this assortment. This is just enabling to list them, once triggered.

If you want to list all articles in a merchandise category, you should use transaction WSM8 (or in S/4 HANA WSM3 provides the same functionality).

Regarding the role of listing procedure maintained in the WSOA2 vs. in the listing transaction like WSM8, I recommend you to check the following guided answers to have a better understanding:
