Schedule Maintenance Plan using IP02

Hi,

We have this request from the business to schedule Maintenance Plan using IP02. The buttons for release call, fix call, etc is greyed out in the IP02. Is there a way to activate this? Can we implement a SAP Note or use any user exits that will enable this?
