Hi PP Guru,
Please explain me what is Firm planned order
Dear,
Firmed planned order means no automatic changes take place in order while running the MRP. It can be done with planning time fance.
For MRP type P1 & P2 system will firm the existing planned order.
If the planned order manually changed, firming indicator will appear in MD04 screen.
Firm Indicator (*) you can see in MD04.
Firm planned orders are not changed in the planning run. This means the system does not make any automatic changes to either the planned order quantities or dates. Firm planned orders can only be changed manually.

Hi Raja ,
There are 3 situation when planned order can become firm
1) if you are using MRP with firming type like p1 p2 ...
2) if you are using MPS with firming type like m1 , m2 m3 ...
3) if you go to change madified either quantity or date in order . After saving star sign will come infront of it . Can be seen in MD04 .
These all firmed orders will not be changed in next MRP run .

Hi,
System will not do any automatic scheduling during MRP run for firmed planned order. If you manually create system will create firmed planned order.
Or if you change any parameter in system created planned order, when you save that order, system will firm that planned order. ie, you are overwriting the system created one, so system will not do any automatic scheduling.
Do get firmed planned order you can use MRP type P1 & M1 series.
