Hi Friends,

As per the SAP course book in regrouping is given "In many countries group the payables in the balance sheet based on their remaining life"

Less than 1Year

Between 1-5 Years

More than 5 Years

My confusion is how to determin the future remaining life(Future life payables)?

Please provide the explaination of above mentioned qurey.

Thanks in advance.

the system would use the paymnet condition for this. Check the following

Regrouping

Use

You have to carry out adjustment postings in the following cases:

u2022 Sorted list according to remaining terms

u2022 Vendors with a debit balance and customers with a credit balance

u2022 Modified reconciliation accounts or partners (VBUND)

u2022 Display of investments (France)

The system processes all accounts that are maintained by means of open item management. For each transfer posting created, a cancellation posting is also included in the session. For customer or vendor reconciliation accounts, the system posts to an adjustment account.

The report regroups the payables and receivables in accordance with the required sort method (IAS in this example) and carries out transfer postings.

u2022 Receivables u2013 less than 1 year, 1-5 years, and more than 5 years

u2022 Payables u2013 less than 1 year, 1-5 years, and more than 5 years

The credit balance of a customer account must be displayed as a payable, while the debit balance of a vendor account must be displayed as a receivable (vendors with a debit balance and customers with a credit balance). In cases such as these, the report carries out the relevant adjustment postings.

The report carries out adjustment postings for modified reconciliation accounts or special G/L accounts. During this, the items in the old reconciliation accounts are assigned to the new accounts.

Prerequisites

If the sorted list is to be executed taking into account the foreign currency adjustments, you first have to valuate the foreign currencies using report SAPF100.

The relevant adjustment accounts and expense/revenue accounts have been created.

To regroup payables and receivables, you have to ensure that the relevant postings exist in the system.

If no appropriate documents have been posted, carry out the postings with the following data:

u2022 Vendor invoices that are due within 1-5 years (reference: IAS-UMG-K01)

u2022 Vendor invoices that are due in > 5 years (reference: IAS-UMG-K02)

u2022 Customer invoices that are due within 1-5 years (reference: IAS-UMG-D01)

u2022 Customer invoices that are due in > 5 years (reference: IAS-UMG-D02)

u2022 Vendor credit memos so that vendors with a debit balance exist in the system (reference: IAS-DK01)

u2022 Customer credit memos so that customers with a credit balance exist in the system (reference: IAS-KD01)

The entries in the Reference field make it easier to track follow-up transactions. You can also choose your own reference names.

Hi Jose. I have a question. I am trying to use this funcionality, but I am confused. An example, I have a vendor with payment conditions 30 days. It means that, after the regrouping, this account remains in the interval less than a year because of its payment condition no matter if I have to pay it in 2 years?

Thanks for your explanation.
