I have some users with Xi and 2008 versions upgraded to CR 2016 and full installs of 2016 and they still rely on Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable. How to get it working with 2010 , 2012 etc. Multiple questions: do I need to do anything on the upgraded pc's from older versions, I.e.. uninstall the older version or update that versions service packs or just update the 2016cr to the newest SP which I think is 5. I'm currently running CR 2016 SP2. If so can I just install SP5 or do I have to install in stages from 3,4 and then install 5?
CR 2016 SP 4 is when it stopped relying on that version. Some third party plug-ins may still need it though.

Don, is this documented anywhere? Is there a link to a Service Pack features list?

They all need it.
SP 20 and below need VC 2005 C++, SP 21 and above require VC 2015 or above C++ runtime.

We now require VC 2015 or above C++ runtime
