LP10 staging

Currently LP10 doesn't allow TO creation when I select the TO creation flag as all the stock's not available, only some.

What must I set to allow TO creation for the stock that is available? as we'll stage with shortages.

How do companies normally create a TO with shortages against prod orders (without using running RLAUTA10). I must be missing something basic as many companies must do this, after the materials are Staged?

In our chemical company it would not make much sense to stage materials for a production if one component is missing or not available in the needed quantity. We could not start the production in this case. MRP planning usually takes care to have the right quantity at the right time. Exceptions need to be managed manually in foreground, decisions need to be negotiated.

Its possible with program RLAUTA10 also, by setting the partial provision indicator. But I'd like to use LP10, so maybe an enhancement is required with LP10 to allow partial provision? Just seems strange if other transactions allow this but LP10 does not?

In LB10 you have the option to set an item inactive and then you should be able to create the TO for the other item.

I don't think they make a difference. The TR is created successfully but even using LB10 its not possible to create the TO in background as 1 component doesn't have the full qty in stock 😞

Hi, there is stock allocated to TO's but they're all required.

If I've a 100 required of 2 different materials on a production order, but only stock of 100 of material 1 but 60 of material 2 we can still build 60 units and complete the rest when the stock arrives in a few days. So how can I create the TO with 100 of mat1 and 60 of material 2. Leaving an open qty of 40 on the TR ?

You need to find out why the stock is not available, which is usually because this stock is used in a transfer order. Then you need to decide if you cancel or confirm the existing TO.
